It's "What's Goin On" with post-modern sensibilities. Or at least modern. I think it moves beautifully, and, though has a lot of ethereal sounds and images, is very tight and conservative. The pattern of seeming two-song combos which further link into the themes of songs ahead on the album not only keep me on my toes, but give me a sense of overwhelming forces, like soaring over all these events or hazily transporting to each isolated incident, like a very revealing dream. Janszoon I hhope i done helped this time. Definitely the best new album I've heard in awhile, but don't take it from me because I don't keep up well.

Listened to this album twice in a row, love it. Ocean's got a beautiful voice.

I haven't listened to this album from start to finish yet, but I've listened to most of the songs scattered around.
I LOVE what I've heard so far. And it's much better than one of the mixtapes of his that I had downloaded. I skipped most of the tracks, and I was really disappointed. But this album is new and fresh and great. I really like it. |

Well, there was one song I thought was okay but it went on and on to the point of boredom. |
