Yea.. I don't mind the fact that they finally included some actual guitar soloing, and that the record is heavier than some of their more recent stuff.. but I did find the lyrics to be stale in places... He's probably just been at it for so long he's running out of new ways to say the same things.
Thats a nice analysis, there is actually some coherent leads on guitar. Hes always been known for not always having the best written lyrics. After listening to the album a few times myself, I find the song "Take A Breath" is not so bad. It kicks best during the lead guitar solo. (Nice) For Staind.
