Evanescence - Evanescence
 

Sorry if i misspelled the name, i can never get it right.

I'm only halfway through the album right now but I think it is absolutly amazing. Ive only found two songs that I didn't care for or got boring. I think this is much better than her past work. I was Skeptical about this album since it took such a long time to come out but I see now it was worth it.

Decent .. Evanescence is like Nightwish for the musically-challenged ... so called mainstream goth. It's gothic but not too classical so mainstream can still play it.

Overall not bad.

I really enjoy their music, it's a good 'relaxation' from all kinds of things people sing nowadays. So for me it's GOOD.

I can't stand Evanescence. Essentially, they're a very very generic rock band that threw up an operatic singer as a gimmick. There are a lot of good bands that employ opera elements to their music, Evanescence is definitely not one of them.

I actually love Evanescence, they are what got me into music in general. I don't listen to them so much nowadays, but I play their music every once in a while. This album, however, is their worst one. All the songs are so-so, and two are even horrible (and I say this as a fan). I only really like one or two songs on the album. Maybe it will grow on me.

I will admit buying their debut album, after I heard `Bring Me To Life`. I still enjoy that song, but I [I]really[I] hate the rest of the album.

i love them... even if the video is a little darkish...the music they make is still amazing,and sounds great! you would recognize them everywhere....

Well I voted good. Never been a huge fan. I do own there albums. But don't listen to them that much. I much prefer Nightwish,After Forever,The Gathering in this style of music

The new album is definitely the worst of all of their albums. I wouldn't go so far so to say it sucks, a few songs are good: Sick, Oceans, Made of Stone, and Lost in Paradise....everything else is just 'okay' and then there's a few songs I can't listen to, like My Heart Is Broken and End of the Dream.

They were trying a different sound this time around, hopefully by the next album they get over this phase and go back to the darker music.

I still think Evanescence is one of the best bands in today's rock music

This is an awesome effort from Evanescence for their third studio album. I was really hoping to hear more of the electronic/trip-hop vibe Amy had talked about in interviews before the album was released, but I was satisfied with the album as a whole.
New Way To Bleed, Swimming Home, Lost In Paradise, Secret Door, The Change, and the live version of Disappear are the best.
I'm hoping for a drastically different 4th album from Evanescence, though... This one had a bit too much belting and was a bit too heavy for what I feel like Evanescence should sound like.
