I really, really liked 1988
It was a culmination of everything i wanted from hip hop at the time. People would often criticize him as being a sub par rapper, and i didn't really agree until this came out. Before he was targeting the rap genre as a whole with really in your face beats, now it seems like he's trying to get more introspective, which i'd like, but he's not really a capable enough rapper to pull it off. This is just an early impression, i'll keep listening to it, but lacks the "boom-bap" that made 88 ****ing raw. |

hmmm I need to check this album out. I've heard people mention his name but I never checked out anything he has done.
