I think it's better than his first release in production, but I need more time to go through and listen to the lyrics again.

Best album of 2011 thus far.

That's a little bit of a stretch.

I was really impressed with the three tracks that came out/leaked before the whole album leaked (Yonkers, Sandwitches, Tron Cat), and I wouldn't be surprised if Yonkers ends up being my favourite song of the year.

Goblin is easliy my favourite track out of the "new" ones. Amazing lyrics. Haunting production too. Nightmare and Golden are right up there too for the same reasons. The back-and-forth with the therapist on Golden in particular is awesome.

I thought the production was really good too, Transylvania (Left Brain) and She in particular, although I wouldn't say it's a major upgrade over Bastard if at all.

The thing is that the second half isn't nearly as good as the first half, and there are a few filler songs in there. With a 75 minute album that can be expected though.

Overall, great album.

It's pretty good i think.

However, tyler is still only capable of making one kind of song, really basy hardcore headbanger, whenever he's trying something else it doesn't quite work.

I don't think it's really that experimental,he sticks with the same monotone interviewer guy, which is really played out by the end of the album. Too many of the songs are just tyler rapping in a deeper voice, which is like the only thing production wise he doesnt have to do.

But radicals and tron cat, sandwitches, all have a really strong punk rock edge to them, and they're just so much better to listen to. I'd love a shorter album thats just that, similiar to one day as a lion or something

Also an appearance by Earl would have been clutch, because all the odd future guest spots were pretty weak, just nowhere near tyler.

I liked "Golden" and "Yonkers" on first listen (well, I've heard "Yonkers" before). Otherwise I felt like it seemed too lightweight, sonically, for my tastes.

Same here. I'm awfully picky when it comes to rap.

Also, 20yo's shouldn't release 75m albums.

Other than Hodgy's parts, I agree, but in the case of "Bitch Suck Dick" (which might actually be my favorite song on the album because of how hilariously over-the-top and self-aware it is), the poorly-written lyrics are part of what makes the song so great.

I thought the track with Frank Ocean was great....Window, not so much. And yeah, it is really weird hearing an OF album without Earl, but I don't think it hurts the album.
