Great album, but the hyped has meant that it will never satisfy people unfortunately

Refreshingly gritty rap, maybe we're finally moving on from that southern "crunk" **** that's plagued the mainstream for too long!

I think Crunk has been extinct for a few years now. Nowadays, I'd say we're on more Fab/Faux Drug Rap.

Good riddance. I'm not a big Wiz fan by any measure but it's far better then any of that **** (except Outkast).

Disagree.

Ying Yang Twins & Lil Jon > Wiz Khalifa.

Lol hell no. And Wiz is one of the more mediocre stoner rappers.

Surely you don't think Cudi is worse then them?

What does this have to do with anything?

Cudi and Wiz are both gimmicks with no real knack for music.

We're talking about the state of mainstream hip hop now vs a few years ago. I think it's improved and with OFWGKTA getting big it's only getting better it seems.

Cudi's not bad, I could do without Wiz though.

Oh my fault.

Can you really call Odd future mainstream?

They are certainly popular, but in no way radio friendly. Your not going to see a young money ft tyler the creator song or anything.

Should be interesting to see where they go from here on out.

I can't say for sure but at the high school my brother goes to apparently they're starting to get big. Not sure about radio play though.

That's what makes me happy. I think Tyler got big on his own terms, and would love to see him stick to them.
