It's funny, not only did I have no idea the Beastie Boys had a new album out, but after looking at Wikipedia, I was shocked to discover they released an album a couple years ago that I never heard anything about. It's kind of sad, I remember when a new Beastie Boys album was a big event.

To The 5 Boroughs was a major let down.
I have heard the opening track from this album and despite the very cool video I was underwhelmed

I knew about Hot Sauce Committee Part Two coming out about three months ago. It struck me as odd that they were coming out with the Part Two before the Part One. I listened to it Thursday and I really liked it compared to To The 5 Boroughs. I voted great because I felt like it was a big step up from that album and the instrumental one that was released afterwards.

Part One, I think, will have the songs originally created for Part Two, and vice versa. Part One was supposed to come out in 09, but then one of the members was diagnosed with cancer. It got postponed, and then the switch happened. It's all messed up.

Yeah that's what I read also. Sure, it's a bit messed up but Beastie Boys can do that!
What other group/band can release a part two before a part one and still get plenty of sales?
