My favorite album is actually their debut. There is just something about it that keeps me coming to it whenever I feel like the Foo Fighters. I also don't know why One By One gets a bad rap, because I actually find it to be a close second.
That being said, I stopped checking out their new albums after In Your Honor. There was some great stuff on there, and the acoustic album had some really great moments, but I just couldn't be bothered anymore. I doubt I will check this album out, especially after reading the responses on here. If I want cookie cutter Foo Fighters I'll grab the Colour and the Shape or There Is Nothing Left to Lose. Their statement as musicians has been made, imo.

Yeah that song is included in the first four tracks which are the best on the album imo and then it dips down to average in the middle and finishes up with a good song.
There is also a Deadmau5 remix of rope on it.

I gave it "okay". I was really surprised by White Limo but it's mostly just more Foo Fighters and nothing that really sticks in my head. But i can hear Hollywood Undead "Hear Me Now" or Cage the Elephant "Shake me Down" and that really sticks and kicks. I like that those bands try new things and make them work.

I've never been much of a foo fighters fan.
In the earlier years (the 'learn to fly'-time) I thought they were a bit too boybandish. Later they became to screamy. I actually think they've found a nice mix now. I like the recording too. Very 'honest'. I think this might be the first FF album I will actually buy.

Self-Titled will always be their best album, followed by TC&TS... even though that one was the start of the boring arena rock stuff they would go on to do.
I am not huge on Foo Fighters, I think even the best songs they did were not even as good as the worst Nirvana songs. This album from what I have hears has been average, much like everything they have done really. I think Foo Fighters have become too boring for their own good.

Not that this really needs saying, but Foo Fighters are the only post-grunge band that really managed to pull off the whole arena-rock grunge thing without coming off as complete cuntrags, which is probably why their first three albums are considered the cream of the post-grunge crop even though its been 15 years since they first hit the market.
Wasting Light still hasn't grown on me a whole lot, but I do appreciate the rawness that went into it.

I feel like i'm the only person in the world who likes Rope. I mainly like the way it jams, but i think it's pretty decent. I personally like it better than Learn to Fly, even though it's pretty fun itself; but it's my least favorite.
Upon first listen, the whole album sounds pretty similar, except for the first two/three tracks. So i'm not hot on it, but i'm not ratinggg.
