Way ahead of her previous two releases. Much more musically diverse and, while it's nothing overly different or original, that's not what you really go in expecting. You get what you hope for, just a very catchy and enjoyable pop album.
Stand-out tracks: Dear John, Enchanted, Long Live Duds: Mine, Mean.

A very good album that in terms of song composition is a big step forward for Taylor from Fearless. "Innocent" is knowing & unexpectedly deep while Back To december is a classy, well written ballad
Pity the debut single was the rather formulaic "Mine", but on the whole a classy album. I won't be going to Taylors next London gig cos the squeeling of the tweenies in too loud for me, but I will be keeping an ear & an eye open to see how her career develops. If i get the chance to see Swift up close & personal in a small venue again, I'll be there like a shot.I still have sweet memories from that union Bar gig in 2008 |
