I think those who ranked this album as being 'poor' didn't actually listen to it and voted in spite regarding how they feel about Kanye personally.
However, this is a modern ****ing classic. That is no exaggeration. I am not the worlds biggest Kanye mark, nor am I even a fan of a lot of the artists occupying guest spots on this album, but as a record, this is just excellent. The production is of the highest quality, each track has great individuality and uniqueness, the beats are as strong and diverse as the mixture of voices on each track. Kanye not only brings his A-game in terms of production work but also in his rapping, as this is his best release in vocal terms since his debut. I urge all who have not already listened, to put their personal feelings aside and just listen to this album. Kanye may be an narcissistic prick, but with releases like this he has earned the right to feel that strongly about how great he is. |

Even I voted average, and I hated it. I just recognize that it employs some good ideas but is not for me. I probably could have voted it one step above average, but I wouldn't say poor either.

I was just sort of agreeing with you that I don't understand the 'poor' votes. As someone that hates the album and Kanye, I still voted average.
How anyone could consider this album excellent, though, is more perplexing to me. |

I think you have to regard it in terms of past records by Kanye, he surpasses himself with this album making it more artistic than his past auto-tuned songs.

Whats wrong with him auto-tuning himself? He can't sing for **** so why not? If he has a decent melody and good lyrics, why make us suffer?

this, which is why it annoys me that people will refuse to listen to a song just because the singer's not using their actual voice.
