How many 75 minute albums do you love? The only albums I can think of off the top of my head that are over an hour long that I love are Blood Sugar Sex Magik and Double Nickels on the Dime, and those are the exceptions and not the rule...

There's probably a lot if you're talking double albums like Double Nickels. But 75 minutes for a single disc? That's a bit more rare I'd guess. Ænima from Tool or Frances the Mute from Mars Volta probably make it though.

Really? It's weird for me to generally like the first half of an album and then think it goes on to long? And 55 minutes is way too long for a blues rock record, and if it's because there are too many songs well, then... there are too many songs...

Sorry it's taken months to reply, I don't come by very much.
I guess I can't say for sure if it's weird or not until I know if you liked the album in general. Actually, now I've got several questions and I ask because I am genuinely curious and I recognize arguing taste isn't going to accomplish much, but it is interesting. What is a good length for a blues rock record? And why should that vary (apparently) between genres? What is "too many songs"? 15 but not 14? 14 but not 13?
