Excellent album. I've never heard anyone say an album is "too long" if they generally liked it, but whatever. It's 15 songs and 55 minutes, that's not particularly long for that many songs. 1, 5, 7, 8, 10 and 13 are my favorites.

Really? It's weird for me to generally like the first half of an album and then think it goes on to long? And 55 minutes is way too long for a blues rock record, and if it's because there are too many songs well, then... there are too many songs...

I think it just depends on what you like. If an album is say 75 minutes long, but I love all the songs, then I am fine with it. If it is an hours worth of filler tracks, well, then I agree too many songs.

How many 75 minute albums do you love? The only albums I can think of off the top of my head that are over an hour long that I love are Blood Sugar Sex Magik and Double Nickels on the Dime, and those are the exceptions and not the rule...

This thing is 75 minutes long? I hadn't noticed. That's a good thing. It feels a little long, but not 75-minutes long.

I almost bought this album on vinyl today, but I wasn't too sure since I hadn't even listened to these guys before. Judging from the responses here, I think I made the right choice...I only want to spend my money on truly deserving albums. I think I will still download this guy, though.

Instead I went with the new Black Tambourine compilation and Siamese Dream (it being my favorite album, I figured I should probably have it on vinyl).

If you buy a Black Keys vinyl try to get one of their first three albums. Those were the ones recorded in like basements/abandoned factories around Akron and truly fit the vinyl sound...

Doh. I only saw the post I quoted as the most recent when I came back in this thread. Without the context of the other posts, it sounded like you were saying it was 75 minutes and one of the few 75 minute albums you loved. :p:

55 minutes makes more sense. I do agree it could be a little bit shorter.

This album is great.

I really think there more of a live band. Watching the two of them play together is so much better than there recorded experience.
