Well, after listening to the album all the way through a couple of times, I voted decent. I was deciding whether to vote good or decent, and then I told myself to be a critic. Anyways, I have to say, while a good third of the album is filler, the rest ain't bad. My personal highlights were the first three songs, Going Through Changes, and 25 To Life. I had a fantastic first impression of Not Afraid, but it never hit me anywhere near that hard again.

I've never really been a fan and when I decided to give the single "Not Afraid" a genuine chance I found it really lackluster and generic. Is this true for the rest of the album, because at the moment I'm really not motivated to listen to it.

I find this record the proper return to form that I think was needed for him. Relapse may have been a good, almost allegorical, representation of his struggle with addiction. But this album, along with his return to the airwaves seems really symbolic of a successful triumph over addiction - which in itself is beautiful.

Musically, he passed the test. The beats are all solid. He stills murders tracks.

And I absolutely love the album cover because it really seems to capture what I'm experiencing aurally.

I remember voting "desent" a while back. It's grown on me a lot now, though. I'd vote good if I hadn't already voted, for sure.

Certainly an above average album, but it's a bit of a shame that the track getting the most airplay(The Way You Lie) is one of the worst tracks on this.
