I'm not normally a fan of electronic dance music, but there is an Australian band that I consider a rare exception: music you can dance to, but which can also be enjoyed on a listening level without moving from your chair. They are called Midnight Juggernauts.
Their Wikipedia entry describes them pretty well. I would simply add that if there is such a thing as "progressive dance", they would fit the bill. their music, when you take the time to listen to it intently, is quite rich, with lots going on in the mix - and has become more so with each of their three studio albums. They are also a good live show if you catch them at a decent venue with good acoustics - or I imagine an outdoor setting would go well. Lots of strange lighting and video effects. Some samples: "Into the Galaxy" (from the first album, "Dystopia"): "The Great Beyond" (from the second album, "The Crystal Axis"): "Sugar and Bullets" (from the third album, "Uncanny Valley"): Last edited by bob_32_116; 04-15-2016 at 12:30 PM. |

Any full length records by an artist with driving bleeps and bloops like this?
