Oz seems to be booming with talent at the moment, which is interesting given their incredibly small population. I blame Flume. He's begun a musical trend of this dreamy trap-infused sound after which similar artists have come out of the woodwork... some go as far to say it's a sound which is unique to Australia which is interesting. I can't post links at the moment but make sure you have a listen to Taku, Whatsonot, Indian Summer and WaveRacer.
Another cool Aussie DJ a mate linked me to is HyperSleep... kinda dreamy techno... seperate to the current dominant trending sound, but amazing, just starting to get featured now on some blogs and podcasts. I'll try and link you once I'm able to, but check him out! |

I heard a new guy who calls himself "Defender of Mankind". I randomly found his songs on youtube, then I searched on soundcloud and he's got his stuff there, too. I mean, he's by no means a huge thing but I gotta say I was impressed. He'll be cool to keep an eye on.
