Demdike Stare » Modern Love | A record label Links to Soundcloud from the albums. You are probably looking for something far darker but this is well worth a listen and there is no doubt where the influences are: Give this guy a try: and this guy:

I'll start with the faster ones first, then just sorta go with the flow, but be warned, it might get less menacing. Actually it will get less menacing. It's the only way I could keep from posting all Dubstep or all one artist: Hope something there enjoys you.

Can anyone give some suggestions for music similar to the following? Or just a classification of the genre? Thanks!
John O'Callaghan ft Sarah Howells - Find Yourself (Heatbeat Remix) John O'Callaghan ft Audrey Gallagher - Big Sky (Agnelli & Nelson Remix) Gareth Emery - Sanctuary Gareth Emery ft Christina Novelli - Concrete Angel I forgot to mention that I wouldn't be surprised if the first two were a different genre than the second two, the only reason I grouped them all together is because they all have similar female vocal leads. I'm recently trying to expand my collection of good electronic music. The problem is I'm either too picky or just unable to find the kind that I like. :S
I'm a pretty big newb to this kind of music. I don't really like early Daft Punk or Dubstep. Here's two songs I've been really into lately. Daft Punk - Get Lucky - YouTube This is pretty much as dubstep as I'm comfortable listening to, and it's pushing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcv3v6XfEvM Oh, and I love Atoms for Peace, so that might also help. If you can think of any music I might like I'd love the help! ^_^

Or is that too ambient? Maybe this... Anyway, check out the whole SH1 playlist for some really eerie times. |
