Here's a few of my favourites, if someone knows anything similair to them it'd be awesome
Savant -Bananonymous
Netsky- the Whistle song
Electric joy ride- Fall down

Steven Tang's Disconnect To Connect: really enjoying this album of deeply lush, ambient moods.

Tehcno/dance track The Floor

I made this techno/dance track called The Floor :band:, would you like to listen to this? Or do you think it should need mastering? Or you think it's crap? Also, do you think dance/techno is the right category?

Btw, I am a new member, so I can't post a link to it. How do I do this then, is it possible?

Thanks!

A Moog-heavy blast from the past: French musician Patrick Vian's 1976 album, Bruits Et Temps Analogues, finally reissued. Nice mix of electronic and jazz. CD doesn't comes with any extras- booklets or bonus tracks- but I'm glad it's finally seen the light of day.

Alice in Chains 07-28-2013 09:08 PM

I just got into SBTRKT. So far, I dig Never Never the most but I'm having trouble deciding whether not it's actually electronic. It feels more post-dubstep and slightly indie/alternative to me.

Was browsing twitter few hours ago and I came across a retweet by a guy named 'Bluethunder' who was thanking the people that listened to his music and saying he was putting up a track soon. So I went and checked out his music. Pretty good music. he has put up two track and I enjoyed them both. Hes my latest musical finding

loveissucide 09-03-2013 06:29 PM

Kanellos is an Irish guy putting together music with a very strong Geogaddi-era BOC and Mogwai feel. Some of it's excellent, such as the Destory Music EP. You can hear some of it here.

Whilst we're on the subject of Irish Electronic Music, Ciaran Byrne is also quite good. He's very strongly Boards of Canada-influenced as well.

This playlist showcases some really interesting stuff being done in Ireland and is well worth a listen-particularly the likes of Le Galaxie and Solar Bears.

anything like Royksopp?

Hey guys, I'd love to find more music in the genera like the song "What Else is There?" By Royksopp. Any suggestions?

Also, I really love the song "Your Loft My Acid" and would love to find more music like Death in Vegas! It seems so hard to find...

Highland Bagpiper 09-21-2013 08:34 PM

I am so thankful for your post... Loving Leftfield for the first time ever...

Really enjoying the new album from Oneohtrix Point Never, R Plus Seven.

crazed 10-04-2013 04:18 AM

South African John Wizards s/t album, a mix of electronic, house, synth-rock
& reggae.

crazed 10-07-2013 01:02 PM

Glow is the latest album from French IDM artist Jackson and His Computer Band. A couple tracks I wasn't crazy about (especially the first song, "Blow") but all in all it's a great release.

xDex_ 10-11-2013 11:57 PM

What other songs would be good?

Hey i really like the Song Animals By Martin Garrix and i was wondering if there was any other songs that would be similar to that. Thanks!

Beautiful Ambient Album suggestion?

I love Brian Eno's Ambient 1: Music for Airports and no other ambient album matches it. I've listened to Biosphere and Brian Eno's Apollo but none of them are as good as Ambient 1 despite being very good in their own rights.

I need something beautiful, that makes you fantasize immediately like 2-2 from Ambient 1. I don't want to much variation, just something mesmerizing and similar to Ambient 1.

Zebras 10-13-2013 11:26 AM

It's been a while since I heard Airports - but Unmend by Geotic and Riceboy Sleeps by Jonsi & Alex are two o' my favorites in that zone of beautiful and not variationy.

Stephen 10-13-2013 04:28 PM

Have you heard Discreet Music and Ambient 4? They are two of my favourite Eno albums. You could also check out The Official Ambient Thread for other artists.

Is this the best goa trance track ever made?

Check it:

I first heard LSD in 1996 tripping on acid and despite hearing thousands of goa trance tracks in the intervening years somehow nothing has ever matched the masterpiece that is LSD. Amazing to think it was made in 1995. Still sounds fresh and, well, just glorious.

If you disagree and think other goa tracks are better, please share 'em.

Mr. Charlie 10-16-2013 08:15 PM

Yes Charlie, it is.

Mondo Bungle 10-16-2013 08:46 PM

I personally think "Orphic Thrench" is on par with "LSD".

Do you like Entheogenic?

Mr. Charlie 10-17-2013 04:51 PM

Orphic Trench is good too, indeed there isn't a bad track on the album. Same is true of the follow-up, The Lone Deranger.

Quite like Entheogenic, yeah, beautiful music to chill out and surrender your mind to. I knew a girl who was obsessed with them, it's pretty much all she ever played.

Looking for Dubstep Artists

Hello, I am new to the forums and I joined mainly to ask this question, though I plan on sticking around:

Can anyone suggest dubstep artists that are similar to the list below? Stuff like Skrillex and the Glitch Mob are an embarrassing excuse, in my opinion. I want to hear dubstep that's powerful--filthy, as some people say. The list below are what I usually listen to to satisfy this need, but I was hoping people might know of similar artists that I might like.

- Cubism
- Substep Infrabass
- Bar 9
- Rusko
- Downlink
- Chrispy

Thank you for your help!
Happy Wednesday.

Edit: Thank you for moving this to the proper thread.
