is it me or is "To Binge" simply just an alternate to "Dare"?
it's not bad i'm just confused i think Damon Albarn lost a lot of his creativity when it came to this album not just this song, but pretty much the entire album even the couple songs i liked don't have that much creativity from damon

Poor album. Sounds like albarn wrote half the music just to get something down, then decided he couldn't be bothered to sort the wheat from the chaff. Its little more than a weak collection of collaborators, very little uniqueness in here.

Quite surprised at the reaction here, I think it is excellent, but I wasn't a fan of the Gorillaz before this album, so that might have something to do with it. There is a unnecessarily amount of other artists on this album though, but thats the only fault I have with it.

I said average. I feel like this one's a bit more experimental than the last two. But as far as the tunes themselves are concerned, they're a bit ehhh. Not bad. Not great. But average.
I'm gonna have to give it another listen, I think. I really like their first album and the second was pretty alright too.

The album as a whole is definitely not as consistent as the other 2, but I like it just for Empire Ant. That songs gives me chills.

Only listened to it once now, but my mind just kept wandering. There's a little too much rap for my taste, and it seemed to lack originality, and it just didn't flow as nicely as the other albums, where did the funk go? Where did the bass go?

I'll try for a bit more, reading the posts in this thread, it tends to grow on people, so lets see what happens.

Not really...I've seen quite a range of responses. No one has said it is the best thing ever, but not everyone has said its totally horrid, either.

Yeah, I have very fond memories of their first album, and I also think that their second album was sorta mediocre. I really haven't decided whether or not to download Plastic Beach or not, but judging by everyone else's opinion I might forego it.
