I'm on my first listen through, but it really sounds like they finally found a sound that they feel comfortable with. The album is heavier than previous efforts, the music is a lot less scattered, and the lyrics don't stick out as forced or rushed like they have in the past. Schylar's vocals don't sound muffled like they did on "Suck Out The Poison" either. I think this has the potential to top Maylene & The Sons Of Disaster III.

I think it's a solid, solid album. Can't compare it to Maylene's new one yet, 'cause I haven't heard it.

I voted "Very Good".

I'm going to go ahead and vote excellent. This is my pick for album of the year, so far.

Voted Very Good, I don't think it's better than Maylene III but it's damn good. I was pleasently surprised. Old Crows, Young Cardinals is still my album of the year.

I think this blows everything else I've heard this year out of the water. I'm especially impressed with the vocals on this album.

Don't get me wrong this album is still very good. I need to give it more listens, and the vocals are great.

Yeah, no worries. I just think that the whole package feels a lot more solid and complete than the other albums I've heard this year, and it's certainly the band's best release. I didn't know they had it in them.

Damn! i'm so behind! i haven't heard the studio version, but i saw these guys live last friday. Um... to be honest, i wasn't as impressed with the new stuff they played, but the fact that the vocalist was completely wasted may have had something to do with it.

To be honest, He is Legend sucks live. Same story when I saw them. That doesn't change the fact that they make amazing music. This album is neck and neck with I Am Hollywood for me right now. Still spinning on my playlists.
