This album really grows on you after a while. Once you get past the production (or lack of production) you're left with some pretty damn good surf-punk with hooks galore and full of raw energy at times. The songs that really stick out for me are So Bored, No Hope Kids, Summer Goth and Weed Demon. Very good album, would be better though if the production was a little bit better but still keeping it lo-fi

I think it's splendid. So much energy. It's laden with catchy hooks and melodies to titilate even the most atonal of tastes. California Goth has to be one of my favourite songs of the last year.
Pretty strong and, dare i say it, premature statement to make considering its your first, tired listen. You have to give it a chance. |
