Okay this forum has basically fallen out of touch over the past year mostly due to moderator laziness. With 2009 upon us I'm going to try and keep it up to date. So please post all 2009 releases here and I'll make threads on them starting the day after New Years. Thanks.

I am lazy and proud too :D. Let you young bucks keep up with the new stuff while us oldies skulk and keep the old school real :D

The general rule I've been following is putting them as soon as the tracklist or album cover is available.

Well, there's no official release date yet, but Matisyahu's Light is set for a release in early 2009.

Psychic Ills - "Mirror Eye"

It's coming out on the 9th of January I think.

Gang Of Four, Sonic Youth, and Grizzly Bear are all releasing albums next year too, from what I've heard.

Not only is there a new Morrissey release but there's another PJ Harvey and John Parish collaboration, I'M A LUCKY CHAPPY!

I'm mad pumped for 2009, between new Animal Collective, Art Brut, Lotus Plaza, Grizzly Bear....

i'm so stoked.

I'm quite stoked for new stuff from Alexisonfire, Maylene, He Is Legend, Every Time I Die, and Matisyahu.

However, I hope:

That Alexisonfire doesn't drop the screaming like they say, because they'll end up sounding eerily similar to Rise Against.

That Schuylar Croom's vocals don't get more screwed up from his smoking.

Nickel Eye-The Time of the Assassins

Apparently Deltron Event II - Deltron 303 is supposed to come out in 2009, at least according to RYM. I really hope it does.

I've also heard Graf Orlock is coming out with a new album, along with new lead vocals.

Queens of the Stone Age is supposed to realease something sometime in mid 09 I think, then Desert Sessions is doing another album. Then there is the new Franz Ferdinand January 27th (I think that's the date...).

Howling Bells - Radio Wars

Battles, Patrick Wolf's fourth album will be available through his own label, Blood Chamber Music, supported financially by Bandstock.com. No tracklisting yet but I can't wait. I found out through Facebook :).

I have an idea, that involves more work, but how about including the release date in thread titles? I'm not proposing changing threads that already exist, what a pain in the arse, but new ones.
