What? I thought everyone cared about us? Well, I don't like Dr. Pepper so you can have mine.

To bring this back on topic, Dr. Pepper is like this album. No matter how much you hype it, it will still suck.

I just like making threads...

Anyhoo, I've only listened to it twice. On the first listen I thought it was shockingly bad. His vocals seemed like the latter phase of Morrison's career (drunk and out of tune), none of the songs had even remotely come close to the catchiness of the Hot fuss singles, and they still haven't shaken the Springteen influence, which is what made Sam's town so awful.

I didn't want to post anything because I've been known to change my opinion after several listens (see Skeletal lamping). Spaceman is looking good, even if the singing is pretty bad. Maybe I can build on that...:|

Anybody know when this actually releases? Wikipedia and other sites say it's been moved up to 11-24 (tomorrow) but iTunes lists the expected release as 11-25...

EDIT: Nevermind, an email just came that said my preorder was ready to download.

I liked Dr. Pepper before they stopped selling it in Australia.

And I've given this album a listen and don't think I'm much of a fan... I thought The Killers were a band that had potential but this album disappointed me.

What did Aus have against The Doctor?

And yeah Hot Fuss is a guilty pleasure of mine and I just despise everything the band has put out since.

I don't know! One day the unusual yet delicious beverage was just no longer on shop shelves. Alas.

Yeah I agree completely, I enjoyed Hot Fuss but haven't really gotten into anything else Killers-related.

well after listening to it a few times, all I can say is that it is a very mediocre album

just one very good song, Spaceman, a good song in Goodnight, Travel Well. it just seems it was made in a very big hurry. In the beginning it was good to see them back in their synth-rock beginnings but it never builds up...

I finally bought this yesterday and unlike some of you I liked both of the first two albums and Sawdust as well...I have listened to Day and Age 5 times...4 on my headphones and once through my stereo out loud without headphones...It is dissappointing I must admit...It may still grow on me but I don't see it happening...I like A Dustland Fairytale and Spaceman but the rest dissapoints me...

I had a listen at my friends house yesterday, she thinks it's brilliant, I think it's just average & boring. What happened to this band? Hot Fuss is one of my fav pop albums ever, but they havent really came out with anything great since then, maybe a few good songs here and there but overall disappointing. They remind me of Bloc Party, great debut album but everything since then just slowly gets worst. =\
