it's a nice album.very easy listening
I also love Family Tree, and Halfway Home is a great opening track, but the rest of the album doesn't really live up to it.
but again I have to mention Family Tree.I'm sure it will be mention among many lists for best songs of the year

Rrrrrrrightey...

If anybody from the indie family would like to explain to me just how exactly this is NOT the best thing to come out in 2008 bar none, I'd be very curious to hear about it.

This is a fantastic album from start to finish and anybody who cannot hear that is either tone deaf, has no taste, or is simply just too stupid to be able to agree with me.

PS and Red Dress is a brilliant song. TVOTR have done many songs that have stunk a lot more than Red Dress.

I have to say that it has definitely grown on me. But I suppose that's true for all their albums. I'd still say Return to Cookie mountain is their masterpiece but this one comes in a close second. I also don't see anything wrong with Red dress, in fact, there isn't a bad song in there...

I think that this album is more catchy than RTCM - that is, it has more "pleasant" songs on it and is in some ways a more enjoyable listen. Artistically speaking, however, I'd agree that RTCM is their masterpiece.

Dissapointing. For TVOTR. Still amazing. But nowhere near the credit they deserved for the past two albums. I just saw them live and Tunde has an unbelievable prescence on stage.

Definately need to give it a few listens before you just though. Just like every TVOTR album, it grows on you.

Personal favorites are Dancing Choose, DLZ, and Family Tree.

There's not an ounce of disappointment in this album. Not one. I'm baffled that a fan of the band could not see this as their most consistently thrilling output to date.

Return to Cookie Mountains never had a downpoint and involved much more harmonizing and a stronger horn section.

"Crying", "Red Dress", "Shout Me Out", "Heroic Dose" were all misses(in my opinion) I just simply saw them as the start of a bad new direction.
Randomness is the only weak point on RTCM and it's kinda meant to be.
