I was minorly dissapointed with it, clever lyrics still, but musically, getting a bit same-y. I never thought I'd say it of Bloc Party.
Silent Alarm will always be their best work

I really liked their last two albums, but this was a major letdown. AWFUL!

I'm a new member here, just joined. I wasn't sure where to post first, but Bloc Party's one of my favorite bands so I just did a quick search and read through this thread. Anyway, I love the new album. Seems like a lot of people here are dissing it without backing up their claims. There are a few tracks that I felt weren't as strong as the others, but overall I'd say this album was "very good." Lyrics are some of the most personal/affecting I've heard (the songs "Biko" and "Signs" come to mind); the music is ear-pleasing and unique. Really a solid album. Listeners will bitch about their change in sound, but personally, I'm all for bands expanding their sound.

That's one of my favorite Peter Gabriel songs but, no, the Bloc Party song is not a cover of it.

Although some of the songs are worth listening to this album disappointed me. I was expecting better mellow songs and little more of a "dance" feeling to it. Overall this album is not their best one....I like their old stuff
