I love this album. Sounds like if My Bloody Valentine and Sonic Youth had a baby, but couldn't take care of it so Mission of Burma adopted. But all comparisons aside, this is my favorite album of 2008 so far (Im still waiting for Microcastles and Skeletal Lamping). MUCH more focused than "Weirdo Rippers". If you've heard "Weirdo Rippers" and wonder how it compares to "Nouns", every song on "Nouns" has the focus and immediacy of "Boy Void", aside from the two instrumentals.

Saw them live a few weeks ago at the Middle East Downstairs with Abe Vigoda and High Places. It was loud as tits, they played most of "Nouns" and "Rippers", and only $10 to boot! Definately worth it.

Yeah, this is a really good record, one of the year's best. And an awful lot better than empty tripe like Fleet Foxes. I still find myself listening to it this many months after it surfaced. Generally there are too many records out in a year for one to last that long, so I feel this one has done well.
