Well this sounds nothing like Vampire Weekend at all. Though it probably is a love it or hate it ordeal.

Oh - judging from the way people are talking about it - I know it doesn't sound like VW. I'm just saying - they are a hype band akin to Vampire Weekend.

I don't think they're even nearly quite on the same hype plane as Vampire Weekend, but I see what you mean all the same.

VW are hyped in both the mainstream and the indie circuit, whereas No Age are just hyped in the latter i'd say.
Album update: Still good, whey.

this is an awesome album. i have high expectations for their live show.

Totally with you on that. Very good album, much better than I expected. It really settles into its own sound and becomes distinct from acts trying similar things. I haven't really listened to Weirdo Rippers (though I have it), but now I am tempted to finally give it a try.

i wasn't that blown away by weirdo rippers so i'd been putting off nouns... but nouns is a much more focused effort. weirdo rippers is probably more of a grower.

I enjoy this album.

they've gotten plays on mtv i've read..

I have negleted to give this album a serious listen through, but I might try tommorrow...if I'm in the mood.
