Gonna go for excellent. I've been listening to it a lot the last few days and there's only one song I'd consider a dud, So haunted. It's some sort of attempt at a rock song or something and it sticks out like a sore thumb in between all the smooth synth pop.
Hearts on fire is one of the best songs of the year, but the entire second half of the album is filled with catchy pop deliciousness. Grooveh...

It's definitely the most catchy release thus far...my last.fm proves it...
It'll probably be topping my end of the year lists...:\

I'm not really sold on this album. It's okay but keep forgetting I even own it. I think my main issue with it is how slavishly it replicates an 80s sound. Don't get me wrong, I love 80s synth-pop, it's just that I feel that if you're making that type of music now you should try and give it some kind of different twist. I don't see the point in doing the same old thing that has already been done before. If I want that I'll just go back and listen to actual 80s synth-pop.
