My friend actually let me borrow this because she'd been raving about it. I will write up my thoughts later today.

Gonna go for excellent. I've been listening to it a lot the last few days and there's only one song I'd consider a dud, So haunted. It's some sort of attempt at a rock song or something and it sticks out like a sore thumb in between all the smooth synth pop.
Hearts on fire is one of the best songs of the year, but the entire second half of the album is filled with catchy pop deliciousness. Grooveh...:yeah: |
In a certain mood I could really like this and out of that certain mood I think I'd generally enjoy the more dreamy elements over the more dancey ones. Ethan votes very good.

Ok.
I have decided. That this is a great album. That is all, I'm glad I could be of help. |
It's definitely the most catchy release thus far...my last.fm proves it...:(
It'll probably be topping my end of the year lists...:\ |
You don't have to be so sad about it =P
|
it's deliciously 80s - one of my favorite albums this summer
|
it's ok...i heard some of the tracks before i got the album and was excpecting more but it was worth the buy
|
I'm not really sold on this album. It's okay but keep forgetting I even own it. I think my main issue with it is how slavishly it replicates an 80s sound. Don't get me wrong, I love 80s synth-pop, it's just that I feel that if you're making that type of music now you should try and give it some kind of different twist. I don't see the point in doing the same old thing that has already been done before. If I want that I'll just go back and listen to actual 80s synth-pop.
