I'm not really sold on this album. It's okay but keep forgetting I even own it. I think my main issue with it is how slavishly it replicates an 80s sound. Don't get me wrong, I love 80s synth-pop, it's just that I feel that if you're making that type of music now you should try and give it some kind of different twist. I don't see the point in doing the same old thing that has already been done before. If I want that I'll just go back and listen to actual 80s synth-pop.

There are bands now making classic synthpop with a new twist like Washed Out and Neon Indian. I haven't really gotten into much but I do really like the Life of Leisure EP by Washed Out.
