I'm pretty much the same. At first I was pretty excited about the album because it felt like classic synthpop and I love a few of the songs on it. Soon enough I was only listening to those few, then those got boring. I still like those songs but most of the album is very forgettable and bland.

There are bands now making classic synthpop with a new twist like Washed Out and Neon Indian. I haven't really gotten into much but I do really like the Life of Leisure EP by Washed Out.

I agree. They really don't bring anything new or exciting to the table. This album and "Zonoscope" were kind of let downs.
