I just picked this album up and I really dug it the first time I heard it. It's immediately catchy and needs to be played LOUD to get the full effect.

The Raveonettes incorporate elements of Phil Spector-era girl groups like The Ronettes, the fuzzed-out wall of sound you hear in Jesus and Mary Chain and My Bloody Valentine, and Sune Rose Wagner plays dirty, sparse licks like Link Wray on morphine.

If you enjoyed their first two releases, Whip It On and Chain Gang of Love, go buy this album! I was a tad dissapointed in Pretty In Black because they cleaned up their sound a bit, but they dirtied it up for this one. The Raveonettes are one of my favorite guilty pleasures..
