I've been looking forward to this ever since hearing them on the End's local music show a few months ago. Pitchfork apparently raved about it too.

This is a beautiful roots album. It's very folky and in vein of the Decemberists, though not like the Decemberists there's kind of a sea shanty inspired feel to it. I guess its more Shinsy, how they seem to have this echoy atmosphere that always makes me think of the ocean. It's a very obviously northwestern release. I look forward to their full length, this is my favorite EP of the year so far. Mykonos is my favorite song I think, the background vocals are breathtaking. I give it an excellent.

This reminds of the first time I listened to Panda Bear-Perfect Pitch. I like it first go around and hopefully it'll grow.

If you liked Perfect Pitch, then get El Guincho "Alegranza!" for SURE.

So no one else was reminded of My morning jacket? The vocals are more than similar...which is why I sort of dig it. Drops in the river is quite lovely...<3

Ok, Mykonos (the chorus specifically) reminds me of another song, someone tell me which one it is please...
