The lyrics are still witty, the jam-like sound of the instruments is still there and most importantly, the music is fun to listen to and it sounds like the band's had fun with it too.
Precisely.

Don't kill me for saying this, but very overrated band.

In Europe perhaps. Very few know of Arctic Monkeys here in America so they are a fairly refreshing sound.

That's really interesting. Here in Australia they are played to death on the radio and to be honest I'm a little sick of them.

lol. I think that's a stretch, plenty of people I know own a few albums or at least have heard of them.

One of my roomates is the only other person that I know at both my college and my hometown that listens to Arctic Monkeys.

P.S. I had an amazon.com giftcard and preordered their DVD that's coming out so I'm interested to see how that turns out.

very good album but I still enjoy Whatever People Say I Am...
better.

That's just because it's too amazing.

About half its tracks are duds and lazy Libertines rip-offs. Granted, the good tracks are superb, but the album has nothing like the cohesion and overall consistency of FWN.

QFT. Also a lot of their new stuff is up on YouTube and such if that interests you, but to be honest, I wasn't the least bit impressed.

I reckon it's better to wait for the album to come out. Much of the online material may be b-side based.

My inclination is to believe that Alex Turner can churn out at least one more tolerably good album.
