This album is absolutley amazing, i listen to it about 3 times a day. And the most amazing thing is that i dont like screamo at all, but 5 finger death punch has managed to find its place on my list of favortie bands. The best songs off this album are : The devils own, which is about somone whos his mothers child and hates his father(the story of my life), The Bleeding is about a man who was betrayed by the one he loved, Salvation is about not beliveing in god and still being happy, and Death Before Dishonor is about not being happy with settling and going out for as much as you can and living the way life was ment to be lived. The way of the fist and WHite Knuckles are good too but not realy sure wat their purpose is.

This was actually one of the first albums I bought with my own money.
The lyrics and vocals are god-awful, but I like the instrumentation, especially in "Ashes".
I think the reason I bought this was because of the sub-genre it was put it: Groove Metal. It sounded interesting. However I've yet to come across a decent groove metal to this date.

The guy who writes the songs, in his lyrics, sums up everything I hate about wrestlers, tough guys, or machismo in general.

This album is probably so bad, haha, I heard a song from these guys and I was laughing hysterically about how stupid the vocals/singing was. Then I found out who the song was by and I remembered my friend going on and on about how awesome they were. But then again he thinks Atreyu are "ttly rad bro".

American Capitalist - 5FDP.
 

5FDP is not a Metal band in the first place. They are Heavy Metal with a little Thrash.
But I do agree, a (mainstream labeled) .. Metal band. Their 2011 album American Capitalist, more resonates a throwback Heavy Metal sound, with a litlle Thrash Metal accent here and there throughout most the album.

Songs like, If I Fall, Wicked Ways, Back for More, and Over and under It, in particular.

The Pride, has the more Mainstream vibe.

Their "Deluxe Edition" is OK. (electronic, heavy basslines) Should go over OK in the nite clubs.


Heavy Metal/Thrash? :laughing: 100 ways to Hate {Deluxe Edition} is OK as well, gotta funk groove to it.

Very much like you, have never been one for screamo things, but this and thevery first Slipknot album have made it into my collection. Looking forward to finding another a few years down the line x
