This is brilliant. I'm quite a fan of Cat Power and she's often at her best with covers. Silver Stallion is so sparse but somehow really sexual, thats probably my fave out of the covers.
That said, i'd say the best tracks are probably the originals, the new version of Metal Heart (think Pissing In A River by Patti Smith) is far better than the original, sends shivers down my spine. Not sure if this is as good as her previous Covers Record but its among her best work. |
lawl at the hot boys cover =d

Yo Crowquill, weren't you the one I told about Cat Power forever ago and you said it was bunk.
Something sarcastic about the name of her album "The Greatest" |
Everyone gives The Greatest a hard time. Just as good as the others i say.

Haha, I'm not trying to bust your balls or anything. I'm glad to see you've come around and she's grown on you.

the power of a tiny little cat lols, I'm such a silly bitch sometimes. Anyway I haven't really come around but I did see her live and it was pretty moving. I've grown to like Moon Pix a lot as well as You Are Free but those are the only two I've given a chance.
