I had the fortune to listen to "Merriweather Post Pavillion" by AC before I heard Panda Bear's "Person Pitch": I can definitely detect the influence of "Person Pitch" on "MPP". Although I feel that the latter is the stronger album (since I feel it has more form and direction, while the former album wanders too much), I am currently smitten with AC, so this album gets top marks from me.
I wish he would use his real name, though, since it is a perfectly good name. ("Panda Bear" is rather too cutesy for my liking.) Last edited by Neil Loots; 03-27-2009 at 05:34 PM. Reason: grammar |

You're right, Panda Bear is too cutesy, I like Geologist.
