i love the sound of this album, i can easily point them out on the radio when one of there songs start up.
there just that unique that they have that poise where if they start one of there songs on the radio you're like "hey white stripes" i love that.

I like "300 M.P.H. Torrential Outpour Blues" and "A Martyr for My Love for You" but apart from that nothing else really grabs me.

I love the lyrics from Effect & Cause.

This is a decent album, I don't see that there's too much to dislike about it in one who has liked any previous White Stripes efforts. It has plenty of good songs and tries a lot of different things without ending up feeling scattered and messy.

This is a pretty bad generalisation of peoples music tastes.

Not to mention that the White stripes' sound is anything but unique...

not unique, but not faceless, though. they have their own stamp, their own trademark, which makes it distinctly them and not anybody else.

To be fair Icky Thump got to no. 1, so he doesn't have much to complain about.

Yeah but not the tastes of people on here in general. I'm not bothered about those in the mainstream. I have known they have had no music tastes for years!
