Brilliant album (as always) from these guys, although I still hold a torch for Hail to the Thief.

"In Rainbows" is my favourite Radiohead album. There is not a song on this work that I habitually skip: in fact, it is one of the few albums I can listen to from beginning to end. Which is rare in the age of downloading isolated "tracks" from albums, and of songs being produced with this in mind.

Their marketing campaign was one-of-a-kind and well thought-out (offering it for free for the first few weeks). It got the album more publicity and probably made cd sales even better.

This was the first Radiohead album I really liked. Where should I go from here?

I'd say the easy answer might be OK Computer, but it depends on what aspects of their sound really caught you. The Bends (and Pablo Honey) were a bit more "rockish," I suppose, but they still had sprinklings of those future elements in their work by the time The Bends came around. They really seemed to have found their sound with OK Computer, and really came full bloom. They took a bit of a different spin after that with Kid A because it was much more electronic and avant-garde, and through Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief they kept going in that kind of direction.

So it depends on what you liked really, but I think the easy answer is probably OK Computer. I'd say it's probably the more accessible of their other records, and it gives a good overview of their sound.

With all that said though, Kid A is my unquestionable favorite, so it all depends on what appeals to you.
