Im not a big rock fan but I really do enjoy Panic to the Disco. Something about their music really attracts me to them. Im a disc jockey for my schools radio station and the format we play is Rock. I'm not always happy with the music is playing but I always turn up my speakers when Panic to the Disco comes on

you cant deny the geniousness of their music.

...could you all write an album that blew up THAT quickly, not to mention caught the eye of pete wentz just off their purevolume?

like really people hate cause everyone likes them. but if youre gonna be a music snob, you still gotta give props where they're deserved.

It's not being a music snob. I personally can't stand them because i dont think there very talented, instrument wise at least. Not only that there songs seem very cliche, and to quickly made.

1. How are they bad at their instruments? Their guitar parts are surprisingly great.
2. How are they cliche?

They are cliche because it's a very pretty word.

Haha, yeah seriously. Cliche is getting thrown around too much these days, it's especially funny when a Smile Empty Soul fan criticizes something for being cliche.

I just don't understand how you can critisize a band when you listen to generic post-grunge crap. Panic! are extremely original for their genre, Smile Empty Soul just continues to push the same generic crap that bands have been pushing since the 90s.

Panic! At The Disco are posers.

they don't really live their lyrics.
i haven't seen one of them have a steamy romance or close a goddamn door my entire life.

they're still amazing though.

I told u why, i dont like there music. To me it does not sound intelligent or good in any way. I realize smile empty soul is not the most original but i feel they still make very good music regardless. I dont feel a band has to necessarily be original in the type of music they make to be considered good.
