Panic! At the disco (lyrics, album, quote, talent, band)

Are you forgetting what a wetdream is? They used the wrong word. And quit trying to act like I'm hating them just because it's "cool" or whatever, I don't like them, I didn't like them before they were all over the place and I still don't like them.

But yeah, I just listened to the whole damn album and made notes for each track so here are the notes I wrote

#1- Random intro that doesn't go with the rest of the album.
#2- I found the lyrics to be annoying and the music was lacking, just bored me to death.
#3- Lame lyrics that seemed childish, music is too simple and is basically background to the vocals, gets really crappy at 2:30.
#4- I like the intro, vocals are too wavy, the melody is too simple but the lyrics are good.
#5- Vocals are good, boring rhythm, the structure is dull.
#6- The lyrics are good but the structure again sucks and the lyrics are just suck.
#7- My favorite track, I like the lyrics and the music is good and fits perfectly.
#8- Random rave music? reminds me of Sandstorm.
#9- I'm getting tired of them incorporating sexual stuff in to their lyrics, vocals are good, sounds good when the music pauses.
#10- God this sucks, kill me!
#11- Nice intro, guitar sounds good, good vocals, my second favorite track.
#12- This sucks, he needs to not write about clothes and burlesque crap this much, it's getting repetitive and old. The music is good though.
#13- Intro sucks but the lyrics are good and the melody is boring.

So yeah, far more boring, repetitive and crappy moments than good moments.

I really don't understand how I Write Sins Not Tragedies can be terrible but I Constantly Thank God For Esteban can be really good, oh wait the former was the big single isn't it? nvm

If you are trying to say that I only don't like that song because it's the single then you need to quit. Seriously, I told you that my reason for nto liking them was not due to all the FOB whatever hype, their music just irritates me, I find very few good things in it.

As for track 11, like I said, the intro was good and the guitar pick up sounded good and it just flowed very well from start to finish.

No i'm not, most magazines were freaking (or cuming shock!) out over them for doing what many had been hoping (or dreaming shock!) for a band to use the internet the way they did to blow up, hence the wetdream for the webzines. And yes, if you don't like them fine but coming in and calling them trash and pulling out the same argument for each song even if it really doesn't fit? Pretty bullshitty.

Well going by that logic, most intros "don't fit" isn't Lifted your favorite album? That whole boring five minutes of Blake and Jenny talking is completely pointless. Plus it flows into the song perfectly, which is what most intros do.

Yes, and no shock you would. How about instead of coming into the album with premade biases because the singer wears eyeliner you appreciate it for what it is which is a fantastic pop music and one of the best things on the radio? I don't see how you could consider this music lacking, its better than most pop-rock songs and is a fast paced upbeat and far from boring song.

The music is too simple? You listen to folk, and most music is just background to the vocals in pop, though i'd consider this much different since they mix it up with pianos and synthesizers in addition to the bass/guitar/drum thing that every pop rock band pulls.

Welcome to most pop-rock music, they don't pull out intricate riffs if you want that go to listen to metal.

Welcome to most pop-rock music, they follow the same structure in fact most music does in general so I don't see why that should be a problem.

I don't really feel the need to reply to the rest of this because its basically the same counter argument, you're just constantly going to bust out crappy, boring, repetitive which is weird because Elliott Smiths repetitive as hell but you never give him crap about it. I think you need to learn to appreciate the album for what it is, a pop album constructed for mainstream radio and each song could've easily been a single which says alot for the majority of albums out today in that whole taking back sunday scene.

You know what, I'm done this ****, I told you that my reason for hating them was not because of all the bull**** hype and what you keep playing that card. It may be the best pop rock stuff, but pop rock, for the majority just sucks.

Your last paragraph, most singles suck. Yes, the Lying whatever song is my favorite, then they kept putting on the sexual stuff and it got old. The Sandstorm remake does not fit in well. Please tell me since my arguments are apparently lacking and yet all you did was just state the opposite of what I stated with no more substance than what I gave.

I'm not sure about #6, probably a typo, yeah, I had marked out good lyrics, so yeah, my notes say they are bad.

Folk can be very versatile and unique. And if this is all there is to pop rock, then I don't want much to do with it, it's bland and annoys the piss out of me.

So yeah, once again, I DON'T JUST HATE THEM BECAUSE OF THE FOB CRAP!!

I know this was all over the place, but I got to eat and sleep to be at work at 6.

I just think its hypocritical to constantly bust out the repetitive crap when you listen to stuff like Nick Drake who is far from varying from song to song, and yeah I pull that card because you pull the same boring argument that everyone pulls whenever a record that gets radio play gets talked about.

Great band, they have awesome hooks, the music lacks a little in the guitar side at times.. the synths are flippin sweet!

uhh.. I think that they are very focussed on Brendons vocals, they are very controlling, you cant change that when a vocalist has that kind of control.

not listening to a band because of their status is weak

I actually don't listen to Nick Drake much at all, used to like him but it got kinda old.

Your arguments against my arguments are just as boring. I said the Sandstorm was random, you replied by saying it wasn't. Seriously, how is that a good argument? I think the intro to Lifted actually fades into the song perfectly.

I did not come into the album with premade biases, I listened to it just as I would any other album and wrote down what I thought about each song.

Just because you like something doesn't mean that everyone else has to.
