Because they sound similar, whats so wrong with relating two bands?
I'm not slating them.
Whether you like the idea or not both have similar vocals styles and theme to their music, it's not a bad thing.

New Panic! album next Feb if I ain't mistaken.
Or that might be The Kooks, it's early 08 anyways.

Combined with rap?
The only instance I can think of with that is Gym Class Heroes with Patrick Stump singing, but that was ****.

Ugh man, stop following every single thing Ethan does, it's really starting to piss me off.

How can you not relate them lol, they're in the same genre, they're both caught up in the emo trend, they're vocals are astoundingly similar. It's the same as comparing any other pop punk band, christ.

Anyways, I hate P!ATD a fair bit.

Panic! musically sounds nothing like FOB unless you compare some of the stuff on FOB's last album and to be fair that's just FOB wishing they sounded like Panic! The only thing really similar about them is the vocals, which could be coming from the same singer.

Disagree strongly.
Why would they try to sound like Panic!?
Fallout Boy have created an enormous fan base themselves, which is larger then Panic!'s imo. If anything I'd expect the new Panic! record to try and imitate Fallout Boy, but I doubt thats going to happen.

Panic! weren't as mainstream successful when they came out but they were everywhere and more popular in other ways.

I never once said they sounded alike besides the vocals, but they can easily be related.
