Song that strucked me down that i can't remember the lyrics.

(Hi this is my first time posting here so sorry if i unintentionally breake some rule or describe poorly, just point it out so i can correct myself.)

So while doing my chores i remembered that there was a song which had:
-male singer
-he sang about being in a relationship with a girl but due to his alchoholism they break up.
- song was very melancholic, calm and sad
- the only verse that i can bring up (that is still from my memory) is "we used to shake the bed"
- if that will help i think that cover for this song (at least on yt) was a painting of woman made with very rough strokes of brush.
That's all i can remember right now and i am very greatful in advance regarding any help.
