Summertime Blues Cover
I heard a song recently on the radio that I couldn’t catch the name of. I later found out it was a cover of Summertime Blues originally by Eddie Cochran. It was mostly percussion with minimal bass/low guitar riffing and a British-sounding woman saying the words aloud but not singing them. Whenever the low voice of the “boss” or “mom and papa” etc comes in, it’s a deep-voiced British-sounding man. I looked all over Spotify and couldn’t find a trace but it’s out there somewhere! Please help if you can

Hell yes finally a name that tune thread I can get behind. One of my favourite Flying Lizards tracks <3
OP if you're into this I recommend checking out more by them, they have a lot of similar covers of other songs that are also brilliant. And their original material is just as great. The singer on this track is Deborah Evans-Stickland, she has given some hilarious interviews about her work
