A 70-80's pop song with a known motif
 

So my old friend and I were sitting at his place, listening to some classic tunes, as he remembered the one I cannot recognize. He hummed it rather distinctly, and I suggested that it must be either "How Deep Is Your Love" by the Bee Gees or "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" by the Starship, but he insisted that was something else.
I am going to give a link to the file of his humming the wanted song. Is it in any way possible to identify?
