The song I'm looking for has "hearts on fire" in the chorus, but it's not John Cafferty or Bryan Adams or Randy Meisner or Robin Gibb, etc. I simply cannot find anything on the net. It's a fast paced dance/pop song with the for the 80s typical electronic sound. The male singer has a fairly high pitched voice, and he takes the chorus really high towards the end.

I only have a very bad tape recording left of this song - very bad because I ruined the tape by listening to it so much way back when. So unfortunately I cannot post a video/audio reference. Additionally, I'm from Germany, so my English is not perfect and it is often very hard for me to make out lyrics, especially from a poor quality audio. That said, here are some bits and pieces from the lyrics that stood out to me:
