Default I need help finding this instrumental guitar song. The Ventures? The Shadows?

The music I am looking for is sampled by a rap artist named Boris Cruz, in his song Nosotros. The first 8 seconds of this track are the only thing that I have to identify the instrumental guitar song that I am looking for:

As you will hear, it sounds familiar, but what is it? The Ventures? The Shadows? I can’t find it….

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

It's real similar to Pipeline with that tremolo picking, but I'm drawing a blank.

Anyhoo, it's always a good time for DD and SRV. Surfs up!

The first 3 seconds sound like a typical surf-rock intro but the other 5 seconds have a fairly typical rockabilly groove to them. I'd guess it's more likely to be from a contemporary rockabilly band. Which one it is, though, I don't know.

Default Update

Thanks for your replies, Psy-Fi and Plankton. I have a mp3 snippet of a dj using this song to talk over it. In this clip one can hear a little how the song continues, and what the lead melody is. It may be a cover.

Unfortunately, I do not know how to post this short mp3 here. I have read the forum rules of course, and the update, but I couldn't find how to get this done. As far as I can see, mp3 is not an allowed attachment.

Do you think that I may link to a free service (pixeldrain) where I have uploaded this short mp3 clip? It may really help to identify the song. Sorry that I am insecure about this, but I am new at this forum and I want to respect the rules 100%.

The first part is taken from the Honky Tonk Man's WWF entrance theme "Cool, Cocky, Bad"
