Question Could anyone please help me identify this Christmas carol by its tune???

I'm pretty sure it's a really famous Christmas carol/song in the West, I just don't hear it that often where I'm at. I only remember snapshots of it from long ago so I felt I should share my keyboard imitation of the characteristic tune:

I'm really sorry for having to post a link, it wasn't allowing me to send the audio as an attachment. Please do click and listen - my keyboard playing is terrible but sufficient for this task - thank you so very much in advance! Just knowing the name of this seemingly well-known carol would mean so much to me!

Hi, I forgot the lyrics.

I think I know the first word. It could either be "lately" or "baby".

Please find a recording attached:

Thank you.
