Still I appreciate that you explained so thoroughly what you like about this music. I must agree that in my case it's untenable. But you go ahead. You like some strange musical quality of those bands, that doesn't mean anything.

Everything that is intended to produce feeling is art (which is a general definition off the top of my head that people are free to dispute or expound upon). Even a Nazi propaganda poster is art because it produces feeling through targeted visual stimuli afaic. Whether it is a "piece" of art is perhaps debatable, or what a piece of art is, or blah blah blah, but as far as I'm concerned just because a piece of art is supposed to encourage hate or political conformity does not make it not art. Art isn't supposed to be palatable or liberal. It's just supposed to be art. And art is such an expansive idea that to restrict it to things that you think are "good" is to restrict the very concept of art itself in a way that is repressive.

that is exactly why I watch 'Circle of evil' and other stuff. I still don't know. Maybe some feeling of negligence. Maybe lack of purpose. Some people are naturally prone to subjugating themselves to something powerful. Not necessarily a genocidal maniac, but more like we see every day: becoming a boss's pet, defending party leaders at the cost of everything, some strange perception of honour that makes them hate. It's not really a sense of subservience as you seem to be making it (liberals can be subservient as well). It's a reverence for ideas that you feel are foundational to your culture to the point that you are unwilling to accept criticism of them. I'm pretty sure that there is an even more basic concept that this represents, but in general I think it's mostly pathological non-criticism of the status quo, which necessitates or is caused by defending a proto-utopian view of what the status quo was when it was at its perceived height. Something that makes the present feel like a continuation of a past that is still vital and relevant, because if the past wasn't on the right wavelength then we're living in a society of chaos that isn't predictable.

Yeah, I'd say that's more or less kinda it. A fear of a future that isn't built upon the predictable and comfortable building blocks of the past.

Just the music, the sounds. Not the lyrics. And there's nothing nazi about the sounds like someone said. I could call this music art if It didn't have the lyrics (and I was in a habit of randomly calling things art).
