Country Song that Sounds like Shakira but it's not

Trying to find this Country Song, which I heard awhile back and it sounds like Shakira but it's not. Country Rhythm almost but the female artist curls her words like Shakira. I believe there was also dance beat to it, as well.

From what I can tell this Song came out back in 2008 as I came across someone else looking for it too but they never did find it.

Any help? This is driving me completely insane.

I've found lyrics to this song which is as follows:

"i came to dance"

Country and Pop/Dance Song. As I mentioned above it sounds like Shakira but it's not her.

This Song is very popular, according to old tweet I found with the lyrics.

I'm desperate. Please help!!

Nils Lofgren did a song that's called "I came to dance" that's kinda country pop way back when, maybe you heard a cover version?
