Default What was this song? Female singer.
When I worked at a St. Louis grocery store a few years ago, there was a song that would come on sung by a woman with the chorus

"Someday
Things will get better
Someday"

It's not Wilson Phillips, although its a similar vein. It's also not Ooh Child by the Five stair steps.
